Patricia finds it rewarding helping others learn to develop and maintain healthy relationships, overcome negative thoughts, become spiritually mature, and effectively manage their lives. Patricia’s approach to counseling is to build a therapeutic counseling relationship that provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Her commitment is to provide a safe place of trust and to walk alongside clients through the struggles they are currently facing and teach them more adaptive ways to manage their lives.

Dr. Patricia Profit is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. She has her PhD in Professional Counseling. Patricia specializes in counseling to females (adolescents-adults) and marriage and family therapy. She works from an eclectic framework, although she specializes in Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapy and has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Training (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She  enjoys travelling, meeting and talking to women, and spending time with her family. In 2016, she founded Elect Ladies Transition Home, a nonprofit which houses single homeless females.
