Patricia Padgett, Clinical Intern

Practicing Since 2023

Pat’s objective is to provide a warm and welcoming environment where her clients may be heard and understood; a place where they can communicate what’s in their heart while being confident and brave in who they are. She employs an eclectic approach in her therapeutic sessions, incorporating techniques such as Person-Centered because it focuses on the client’s point of view; Solution-Focused because it assists the client in moving toward the future that they desire; and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because of its effectiveness for a variety of problems (e.g., depression, anxiety, eating disorders, alcohol, and drug use problems).

She believes that everyone has a purpose in life and that assisting a client in healing and discovering that purpose is a win-win situation.

After retiring from the federal government after 36 years as a budget analyst, Pat went back to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. She is now in the process of completing her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Pat’s greatest treasures in life are her family and hearing God’s voice. She adores journaling, prayer, teaching, and assisting individuals in healing and discovering their life’s calling and purpose. She also enjoys long walks outside, taking pictures, and spending time by the ocean. Pat is a published author who has created a motivational and encouraging book titled Inspired to Write.

She is under the clinical supervision of Stephanie Sherrer, LCPC, license #LC11063.
