Nora Lutyk, MA, Resident in Counseling

Practicing Since: 2011

Nora’s heart is for the healing of the whole person: spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, and physically. Nora’s counseling style is one of support, encouragement, and a strong therapeutic relationship in which she partners with her clients to bring about the breakthroughs they seek. Nora will typically use Person-centered therapy for the processing of traumatic memories and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for reducing emotional pain/negative behavioral choices by transforming misbelief to truth. Nora teaches the Imago Dialogue Method to couples and families for breakthroughs in the ability to respectfully communicate and emotionally reconnect. Throughout her life, Nora has been ministering to young people and has an affinity for counseling adolescents and young adults.

Nora holds a Master of Professional Counseling degree from Liberty University. She is working toward licensure in the State of Virginia and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She and her husband Chris, an ordained pastor, have served for many years in providing pastoral care/counseling, Biblical teaching, leadership, and worship ministry to the Body of Christ. Nora enjoys music, writing, showing hospitality and lounging on the white sand beaches of the Chesapeake Bay and the Outer Banks with her family.

Nora is licensed in Virginia #0704011275 and is under the supervision of Kathleen Mikkelsen, LPC license #0701006940.
