Practicing Since: 2014
Melanie’s therapeutic process is comfortable and warm and her space an OASIS: Open And Safe InSide. Her ultimate goal is to mobilize you back into a state of peace and balance. Meditation, mindfulness, and prayer are unique to her practice and clients who work with her appreciate her calm demeanor and down-to-earth spirit. Melanie believes that most therapeutic models like Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavior Therapy utilize constructs which can be found in scripture, therefore she aims to allow the Holy Spirit to lead her in helping you find peace, hope, direction, and happiness in this life.
Melanie believes it’s not by chance that you’ve landed here and she wants to let you know that your change is right around the corner. She believes that Transformed Thinking Gives Birth to Complete Change and like the scripture says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he…” (Proverbs 23:7), you are what you tell yourself you are. Are you ready to believe, say, and be different, better, and well? Melanie will work with you in an unprejudiced, peaceful environment to uncover truths from scripture merged with clinical interventions that will help modify your behavior and transform your thinking. Melanie believes you want to see yourself in a new, refreshing light, but it begins with what you are speaking to yourself and about your life.
Melanie’s ideal client is a woman who identifies as a domestic violence survivor, however, she can work with anyone who feels stuck and is seeking support and guidance to move forward toward mental transformation. Melanie offers Spiritual Expressive Arts Therapy where an atmosphere of openness, safety, grace, accountability, and empowerment are essential. With her, you can be your authentic self in order to find purpose, reach your highest potential, and discover the peace that resides within. Her practice will be calming, reassuring, and a space open to creative expression and transparency.
