Madeline “Maddie” Brown, Resident in Counseling

Practicing Since 2023

Maddie is committed to creating a warm, inviting, and open atmosphere where clients can express themselves freely and share their most intimate and vulnerable parts of themselves in a space free of judgment and criticism. Additionally, she enjoys working with members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as those who have experienced developmental or relational trauma. Her hope is that she will be able to meet clients wherever they are in their journey and help them to reach goals that are attainable and suitable for their lifestyle.

She utilizes Solution-Focused therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Cognitive Processing therapy, as well as elements from Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Trauma-Informed therapy. Additionally, she enjoys using approaches that are congruent with positive psychology.

When she is not working, Maddie enjoys riding horses and competing in hunter jumper horse shows. Combined with her mom, she keeps 6 horses at their family farm in PA, which is most often where you will find her on a weekend. She also enjoys sailing and boating in Chesapeake Bay, as well as reading fiction novels and listening to podcasts in her spare time.

Maddie is under the clinical supervision of Steve Osterhout (License Number: LCSWC 09238).
