Katy has worked with a variety of populations. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and trained in MATCH-ADTC focusing on anxiety, depression and conduct, or behavioral related concerns. She is also trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), which focuses on the parent child relationship and attachment as well as CBITS (Cognitive Behavior Intervention for Trauma in Schools). Katy views her work with counseling as a way to walk through life with individuals and families to provide support and healing. 

Katy received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Gordon College in 2009. Following college, she moved back to Connecticut and began working in the social work field through non-profit agencies as a care coordinator to assist children and families with connecting to appropriate services and resources. She remained in the field working in a variety of roles while completing her graduate degree in Social Work. Katy graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in May 2014 with a concentration in children and families. She continued working with a non-profit agency providing counseling and case management services for children and families and then received her clinical license in August 2016.
