Kathryn “Bailey” Johnson, LMSW, Supervisee in Clinical Counseling

Practicing Since: 2019

Bailey aspires to build authentic and trusting relationships with clients by providing a safe and private atmosphere.  She wants to get to know the client’s interests, personality, and passions so that the client may be fully known and seen by her as the provider. Bailey takes a very personal approach so that she and the client feel comfortable and safe to be honest and vulnerable while processing some of the client’s most sensitive and personal topics to promote healing.  She strives to create a relationship of flexibility, understanding, and patience.

Bailey believes that mental health can have large consequences on our overall health and effects our bodies, mindset, how we relate to other people, and our overall quality of life.  She also believes that the therapeutic process does not work unless the client is ready to be present and active in their own healing; it is necessary for the therapist to meet them there. Bailey will meet the client where they are without judgement and foster opportunities for secure and deep connections throughout the process.

Bailey is a transplant to the Virginia area from South Carolina.  She loves living in the city and enjoys traveling, walking, spending time with her friends, trying new restaurants and reading. Bailey is a Christian and this is the most important part of who she is and why she chose this career path.

Bailey is licensed in the state of Virginia (#0903003312) and practices under the supervision of Mary Dolby-McDonald (VA license #0904003530).
