Michelle works with those who have endured dysfunctional family system dynamics and environments, relationship and boundary issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual difficulties and/or are seeking spiritual growth are individuals to whom she desires to draw alongside and together work toward genuine and lasting healing. She brings her experience as a former elementary school teacher to relate well with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety and behavioral issues. She has a heart for marriage and family issues as well as the challenges faced within the blended family environment.
Michelle feels that God has called her to work with individuals who are striving to overcome their struggles by not only learning to understand themselves and their situations, but also learning to place their trust in the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
Michelle is a graduate of Liberty University who holds a masters degree in Professional Counseling as well as additional certification in Stress and Trauma Care with Military Application. She has received special training in Stress and Trauma Care, including additional training in EMDR. She has also taken certified courses in Play Therapy in order to reach young children and adolescents – a population that keeps her rooted in her prior work as an elementary school teacher.
