Lauren Hamami, Master’s Level Clinical Social Worker

Lauren is pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work from Salisbury University. She has been inspired to become a mental health counselor after working as a special needs teacher for five years. She believes no true learning can be accomplished if one’s physical, mental, and emotional/spiritual needs are not met, let alone addressed!
Lauren is certified in safe space training and trauma-informed care training and implements this expertise in treatment with clients. She approaches treatment with a client-focused, intersectional approach.
Clients will experience transparency and honesty during treatment with Lauren. Foundationally rooted in the NASW’s Code of Ethics, Lauren listens intently, asks clarifying questions, and works hard to build trust throughout the process.
Lauren is an intern under the clinical supervision of Stefanie Plitt, LCSW-C, licensed in the State of Maryland (#16101).
