Rae Legere-Reardon, MSW, LCSW

Practicing Since: 2015
Rae Legere-Reardon believes that reaching out to engage with therapy takes courage, and we all experience times in our lives where we need added support to move forward! Rae’s approach to counseling is to create a safe space for her clients to discuss challenges they may have and to move towards a brighter future. She works well with people who experience anxiety, depression and/or past trauma, and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and DBT techniques to help support the process of positive change. Rae also has positive experience working with couples who are seeking a deeper emotional connection, improved communication, and peace.
Within the therapeutic relationship, Rea practices from the perspective of recognizing each person’s individual strengths and unique gifts, as she assists them with recognizing feelings and thought patterns which may hinder their ability to live their best life. She offers understanding, collaboration, and non-judgement.
Rae earned her BSW from Central Connecticut State University and her MSW from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. She is a certified provider for the Triple P parenting technique and The Circle of Security International. Rae also has trained to work with those who experience ADHD and ASD symptoms, is a certified Clinical ADHD provider, and has completed certifications in several trauma therapy techniques.
Married to her amazing husband with three grown daughters, three wonderful sons-in laws, and a beautiful granddaughter, when Rae’s out of office, she can be found either hiking in the woods, enjoying the outdoors, singing at her church, or enjoying quality time with her family.
Rae Legere-Reardon is licensed in the state of Connecticut (#:10744).
