William Troutman, LCMHC

Practicing Since: 2010

Will believes that we all have those moments in life where we feel we are at a crossroads. Some might call it “feeling stuck,” others may go as far to say they feel hopeless. That is why he believes counseling is such a vital service and truly believes in the value of a therapeutic experience. Will’s goal is to foster a safe, non-judgmental, and hospitable environment where clients can engage in a process of working through issues that are causing them distress. His desire is to meet each client where they are and develop a therapeutic relationship to support their ongoing growth.

Will graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2000 with a bachelor degree in psychology and received his MA degree in counseling from Columbia International University in 2011.

Will’s experience has been exclusive to private practice and he has been practicing since 2010.

His approach is eclectic and creative. Will tries to adapt his approach depending on the client and he draws from a number of different modalities. Will has experience and training with theories such as CBT, person centered, family systems, existential, and REBT. He is trained in Prepare and Enrich, a marital assessment, and has experience assessing ADHD.

Will is married to his beautiful wife and they have a dog named Lucy. He spends most of his free time with them, but also enjoys good comedy, the arts, golf, and any sport-related to The University of South Carolina.

Will is licensed in the state of North Carolina #15700 and is practicing under the supervision of Nikki Moussette, LCHMC, LCAS #5218, #LCAS-1716.
