Practicing Since: 2017
As a therapist, William strives to create a safe and warm space where therapeutic rapport can thrive. He makes sure that the environment is one filled with compassion and nonjudgement. William believes that the heart, mind, and soul are all connected, and that therapy should focus on this intersectionality as a mechanism for change. He loves to include faith into the therapeutic session and is a firm believer of using it as a strength in the healing process. William uses a cognitive-behavioral approach while pulling strength-based and person-centered theory.
William graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. He has experience working with multicultural populations, adults, children, and adolescents across a variety of presenting problems. His passion is to provide therapeutic opportunities for males. He understands the challenges today’s males face and loves to work with them through the challenges of life. William is interested in working with missionaries and third-culture kids and the specific challenges they face.
William is licensed in Virginia #0704009899 and is under the supervision of Caroline Gentry, LPC license #0701007248.
