Wendy Kelly, LCSW-C

Wendy believes that building a strong alliance is essential to the therapeutic process. She builds a trusting and safe environment to foster clients to have comfort to open up and begin to engage in the process.   

Wendy graduated with a MSW from Washburn University in 2002. She has worked in foster care, outpatient mental health clinics, school settings, detention centers and private practice. Wendy also has a long history of working with children and families and has training in trauma informed care, working with children of incarcerated parents, play therapy, sand tray therapy, TF-CBT and positive parenting. She utilizes solution focused, CBT, trauma informed, TF-CBT, positive psychology, mindfulness and narrative therapies during the treatment process. Wendy enjoys helping people find their own strengths, seeing their own resilience and solutions to issues, and is comfortable bringing spirituality into session when clients request. 

Wendy is the mother of 3 daughters and in her free time enjoys working out, reading, learning and spending time with her family.
