Shelly Daniel, LCSW

Shelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia working primarily with adults and couples. She received both her Master of Social Work degree and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a certified facilitator of the Prepare/Enrich program that focuses on building strong marriages and healthy relationships.
Shelly also has specialist training in anger management. She has experience providing office-based, community and telephone psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. For over 10 years, Shelly has worked with a wide variety of clients including children, teenagers, women, and groups.
Shelly has a practical eclectic approach and customizes counseling techniques to meet unique client needs. With Family Systems as her therapeutic foundation, she also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Shelly believes that all clients possess strengths that they bring to the counseling process and that these strengths can be leveraged as they face challenging life issues.
Shelly gets great joy in helping clients find satisfactory resolutions to daily challenges. Her perspective on life, faith, and mental health has significantly been shaped by her experience working in a faith-based organization for many years. Shelly is married to her high school sweetheart with whom she is raising three children.
