Shannon Miller, LCSW-C

Practicing since: 2007

Shannon Miller graduated from the University of Maryland with a Master’s degree in Social Work. For Shannon, empathy and understanding are foundational to the therapeutic process. With her natural ability to listen and connect with others, she strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported.

Shannon takes a collaborative, client-centered approach, meeting clients where they are and providing practical tools to help them work toward their goals. Her therapeutic style draws from a variety of approaches, including mindfulness, meditation, and cognitive strategies that help clients better understand how thoughts affect feelings and how those feelings then affect behaviors. She works alongside clients to develop skills they can apply as they navigate life’s challenges.

Clients can expect a warm and compassionate space where they can openly explore their internal struggles and life experiences. Shannon’s practice is grounded in compassion, honesty, and kindness, with an emphasis on building trust and creating a sense of safety. Through this partnership, she hopes to help clients gain greater insight, develop confidence, and create meaningful change in their lives.
