Sarah utilizes a client-centered, solution-focused approach to work to build a safe, judgment-free space for clients to explore their internal questions and journeys of growth together. Sarah values meeting clients where they are and encouraging honesty with oneself. Empathic listening and emotion-focused discussions aimed at helping the client get in touch with their true selves is at the core of Sarah’s therapeutic practice.
Sarah has prior experience working in eating disorder clinics, substance abuse rehabilitation programs, post-incarceration reform programs for ex-felons, programs for clients with severe mental illness, and working with clients struggling with interpersonal relationships, depression, and anxiety. She favors a Gestalt, person-centered approach with solution-focused driven goals. Sarah focuses on identifying maladaptive behaviors and working towards changing the thought process behind them to create healthier behavioral patterns
Sarah is a happily married mother, native to Arlington, VA. She has several dogs that she adores and is an active volunteer/participant at her local church.
