“Whoever believes in me … rivers of living water will flow from within them.” – John 7:38

Robin Walters graduated from Fordham University with a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Care. She was motivated to pursue a career in mental health counseling through her work as an intake case manager at a homeless shelter serving youth ages 16 to 21. In this role, Robin gained firsthand insight into how generational trauma and untreated mental illness influence daily life and decision-making. Her experiences deepened her passion for the field and reinforced her belief that this work can create meaningful change for individuals and future generations.

Robin approaches treatment through a deeply humanistic and person-centered lens. She believes that creating an accepting, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment, with an open invitation for clients to show up exactly as they are, sets the foundation for meaningful therapeutic work. Clinically, Robin’s approach is eclectic and tailored to the individual needs of each client. She values understanding both present challenges and the deeper emotional experiences, relational patterns, and belief systems that may contribute to them. In addition, Robin believes in helping clients identify practical strategies, strengths, and achievable goals that support movement toward change.

Clients working with Robin can expect to be met with respect, curiosity, empathy, honesty, and a strong sense of emotional safety. She is fully present in each session and takes an intentional approach to centering each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals. Robin values authenticity and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship. Whether processing difficult emotions, navigating life transitions, exploring patterns, or building practical coping skills, Robin’s goal is for every client to feel safe, seen, supported, and genuinely understood.
