Nicole Miller, Master Level Clinical Intern

Nicole is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University.

Nicole’s approach to counseling is rooted in active listening, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s unique experience.  She strives to create a warm, open, and non-judgmental atmosphere where building trust is key to any therapeutic relationship.  She wants clients to feel heard and supported.  She enjoys working collaboratively with clients – whether brainstorming solutions to specific issues, exploring emotions in depth, or working through strategies to build lasting change.

Nicole views mental health through a lens of holistic care, recognizing that God has created people to be a whole beings – mind, body, and spirit.  In therapy, it’s important to acknowledge that emotional well-being is deeply intertwined with physical health, spiritual beliefs, and the overall life journey.  The therapeutic process is a path of healing and growth, where clients can explore not only their thoughts and emotions, but also the ways their physical habits, spiritual life, and relationship with God influence their overall health.  Whole person care, from a Christian perspective, means nurturing all aspects of who people are – aligning their emotions with God’s truth, caring for their body as a temple, and deepening their spiritual connection to Christ.  This integrated approach, rooted in faith, can bring about lasting transformation, helping them experience peace, healing, and purpose in every area of their life.

Nicole is a mom and military wife of over 20 years.  In her spare time, she loves attending her kids’ sporting events and spending time with her family.  She is also active with her local church, which is a big part of her life and provides her with a sense of community and support.

Nicole is under the clinical supervision of Sandy Chaplin, LCPC (Lic# LC3264).
