Maureen uses a variety of approaches in therapy including, but not limited to: CBT, person-centered, creative/art, play therapy (with children), strength-based, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, Gestalt interventions and music therapies (especially with geriatric/dementia patients).

Maureen has been married to her husband for 25+ years and has 5 children ranging in ages from 22 to 14, 4 are biological, one is adopted who is bi-racial with special needs. She is a former Hospice Chaplain and especially enjoys working with the elderly populations. Maureen has extensive training in Gerontology and Geriatrics, including dementia and Alzheimer’s related diseases and studies that include the family unit. She graduated from Lancaster Bible College with a BS in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry. She has her Master of Arts from Waynesburg University in Greene county, PA in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling Psychology. Maureen has worked for the PA Department of Aging, as well as the PA Department of Human Services, Family Division. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, working on jigsaw puzzles with her family, caring for aging relatives, and cross country skiing.
