Hannah Thiessen, Masters Level Clinical Intern

Practicing Since: 2021

Hannah aims to develop a warm, accepting, and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship with her clients to give them a safe space to process painful emotions and experiences. Hannah uses a multitude of treatment modalities within her client’s worldview to help them reach their goals.  While Hannah enjoys working with people of all ages, she has a special heart for adolescents and helping them navigate the complicated world they find themselves growing up in today.

Hannah completed her undergraduate degree majoring in music with a focus on voice and piano, while also extensively studying psychology and human behavior. Her goal is to complete her current graduate degree in social work and then earn her LMSW license. Hannah is currently participating in EMDR training and practicing EMDR under consultation.

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys serving at church- leading middle and high school youth groups and young adult small groups. She also loves music and teaches private piano lessons to people of all ages.

Hannah Thiessen is under the clinical supervision of Stephen Osterhout, LCSW-C (Maryland license #09238).
