Ebony Groves, Clinical Intern

Practicing since 2023
Ebony comes to Safe Harbor as a counseling intern. Her primary focus is to create a safe
judgement free environment where clients can express themselves. She strives to create a
relaxing calming space for clients to unwind and speak freely. Her aim with clients is to develop
skills/strategies to manage challenging emotions and/or behaviors and guide them to be the best
version of themselves.
She believes that everyone has the power to change with the right skills, resources, and mindset
to do so. As a therapist, she can only guide clients, but it is their choice to make.
Having earned her bachelor’s degree in social work and currently pursuing an MSW degree, she
has experience in a variety of different fields over the course of her academic career both in and
outside of the classroom. She has completed training in mental health, geriatrics,
homelessness, at-risk youth, and IDD.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to various places and trying different ethnic foods. She
also enjoys binge-watching her favorite television shows and reading a book. She is a new pup
mommy to a 3-month-old Havapoo.
Ebony is under the clinical supervision of Franklin Sellers, LMSW (MD license #25750).
