Andrew Schmidt, LCPC

Practicing Since: 2020

As a counselor, Andrew utilizes an integrative and experiential approach based on a whole-person perspective that addresses mind, body, and spirit. His goal is to provide an environment where individuals, couples, and families are able to find hope, healing, and wholeness. Andrew emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and aims to empathize and resonate with the client’s story and situation. He believes that every person has been created with a unique purpose and unlimited potential. Counseling is a powerful opportunity and place for individuals, couples, and families to join together to seek healing. This occurs most fully in the context of love and trust. Love is the passionate identification with the other person that perceives worth and seeks good, guided by the trust and vulnerability of the relationship.

Andrew’s own journey and training have allowed him to establish a unique environment and space to connect with clients. In his free time, Andrew enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and loves picking up the next book on his reading list.

Andrew is licensed in the state of Maryland #LC12688.
