Alyssa Hughley, MSW, Supervisee in Clinical Social Work

Practicing Since: 2016

Alyssa provides an open, safe, calming, and confidential environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear or judgment.  She focuses on identifying the client’s strengths and empowering them to recognize their potential. She uses faith-based disciplines for clients who ask.

Alyssa believes that mental health is the foundation of overall wellness and well-being. She understands that it can be difficult for people to heal on their own.  Therapy is a space where clients can better understand themselves and their emotional pain and see how it has impacted their life.  During the therapeutic process with Alyssa, a client can expect to develop healthy coping and problem-solving skills to become a better self and learn to nurture interpersonal relationships.

Alyssa is an extrovert and gains energy from spending time with the people she loves.  She has a passion for children and families and loves being there for others. She enjoys her three nephews and is very close to them. In her spare time, if she is not spending time with her family, she enjoys dancing, shopping, and trying new restaurants.

Alyssa is licensed in the state of Virginia (#0906014541) and is under the supervision of Mary Dolby-McDonald, LCSW (VA license # 0904003530).
