Will Walls

Will Walls is an experienced psychotherapist, who is licensed in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. Originally a Baltimore native, Will moved to York, Pennsylvania, in 2003 with his wife and four children. Will is a devout born-again Christian, who is active in his church by evangelizing, teaching adult Sunday school, and providing counseling.
He received his B.S. degree in psychology from Towson State University, and his M.S.W. degree in clinical social work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
Will's career in mental health began in 1994, as a teaching-assistant in a special education school. He has worked in many different settings, and has helped individuals, couples, and families of all ages, socio-economic status, religious affiliation, and ethnicity. He has worked in special education schools, residential treatment centers, psychiatric rehabilitation programs, hospital emergency rooms, mobile therapy units, wrap-around programs, and outpatient mental health programs. Will also provides consultation to private practitioners and agencies, and conducts educational seminars on psychiatric issues.
Will's clinical specialization is in children and families, and he has extensive experience working with individuals with chronic mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues, and acute depression and anxiety. He also works extensively providing couples counseling and pre-marital counseling. Will has helped individuals, families, and couples learn how to forgive and heal relationships.
He utilizes traditional psychotherapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems theory, rational-emotive therapy, and child-centered play therapy. Most importantly, Will uses God’s Holy Bible to help individuals, families, and couples understand how God desires them to address daily life stressors, overcome obstacles, and become closer to Him.
Some of Will’s favorite scriptures are:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” - John 3:16-17, NKJV
“But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” - Romans 5:8, NKJV
“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” - Matthew 6:14, NIV
