Shyrielane Watson, MA, LCPC
Shyrielane Watson graduated with a BA in Psychology and Women’s Studies from the College of New Rochelle in New York. She also earned her MA in counseling from Regent University in 1998 and is a Licensed Certified Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland. She will also complete a Certificate in Advanced Studies (CAS) in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College in May, 2007.
For the past 12 years, she has served individuals and families in a variety of contexts to include: overseeing the YWCA of South Hampton Roads’ Domestic Violence and Women in Recovery Programs, providing Christian-based telephone counseling and prayer at Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), and assisting co-occurring/dual- diagnosed adults to address their mental illness and substance abuse issues at various Community Services Boards in Virginia. Shyrielane also has diverse ministry experiences serving as president and founder of a campus Christian Fellowship Club at the College of New Rochelle, leading in racial reconciliation activities at Regent University, working in youth ministry, developing and teaching Christian development classes, providing follow-up care to new converts and currently participating in small group ministry at her church.
As a Christian and pastoral counselor, Shyrielane is interested in addressing the person, the problem and the predicament using proven best practices guided by biblical insight and wisdom from the Holy Spirit, the true counselor.
