Shon Miller, MA

Shon spent many years informally counseling women who were struggling with marital and family issues.  Motivated by a desire to be a better helper of people, she earned a masters degree in marriage and family counseling from Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School.  Shon desires to use the sure foundation of the Scriptures, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and the best sources from psycho-social science to help bring about change in people and their relationships. She specializes in treating the family system of children and adolescents with adjustment issues, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, and depression.  Her experience also includes individual, family, and group therapy for high risk teens that are transitioning back into the traditional school setting.

Shon is continuing her education at Towson University, pursuing a Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling Psychology.  In her spare time she enjoys running around with her kids, a good book, and a good cup of tea.  She and her family enjoy taking missions’ trips and being a source of encouragement and support for families on the foreign mission field.  Shon and her husband Gene live in Harford County Maryland.  They have been married for 20 years and have five children, two by international adoption and three by birth.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.  Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.  Proverbs 3:5-6
