Shelly Yost, M.S.W.
About: Shelly Yost was raised south of Annapolis, Maryland and became a follower of Christ at age 12. Shelly received her masters degree in Social work at Salisbury University and is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland. She, her husband, and daughter currently reside in Northern New Jersey.
Shelly worked for a private non-profit for 7 years, working with children in the foster care system in Washington, DC and Maryland. She worked primarily with children who experienced severe abuse and trauma in early childhood. Working closely with these children and families has given Shelly a passion for working with clients and families whom have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma in their own lives.
Shelly is the regional director of Safe Harbor Christian Counseling of New Jersey. Shelly has worked with a wide variety of clients including children, teenagers, women, and couples. She is most passionate about helping clients successfully address abuse, neglect, depression, anxiety, anger, marriage preparation, marriage enrichment, fertility issues, adoption related issues, relationships and life transitions.
