Michele Dumois
Michele Dumois used to spend hours listening to and giving advice to her friends as a young teen. Finally, one day, one of her close friends told her, "one day you are going to be like Ann Landers, you know, that lady who gives advice in the papers." That friend wasn't far off. Michele, received her Master of Social Work from Barry University in Miami, Florida, and is licensed in the state of Maryland as a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C). She has been working in the field since 1996 and feels passionately about making a difference in the lives of individuals and families.
Michele works to give people a safe and comfortable environment to open up in with her warm and nurturing demeanor. She utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy as she respects the uniqueness and strengths of all individuals and families that she may cross paths with. Michele works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She attempts to empower, encourage and motivate people as she firmly believes that everyone withholds God-given strengths.
Spiritually, Michele works hard each day to strengthen her relationship with Jesus Christ and become more like Him by praying and focusing on the virtues of living for God: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22,23). She knows that as a Christian, she stumbles. But with Christ's strength, she hopes to adorn the gospel, so that people are inspired to seek His strengths in their own lives.
Personally, Michele married her best friend and soul mate, Jason, on June 26, 2004. Michele and Jason are active in their church and enjoy spending time with family. They live in the Baltimore area with their dogs, Ferris and Phoebe.
