Michele Dumois
Michele received her Master of Social Work from Barry University in Miami, Florida, and is licensed in the state of Maryland as a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C). She has been working in the field since 1996 with experience from Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins University and Catholic Charities.
Michele places an emphasis on authenticity, genuineness, and critical thought while her approach to therapy is an integrative one. Michele works with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. While often client-centered, she includes elements of cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, family systems, and child centered play therapies in the counseling process. Michele attempts to empower, encourage and motivate people as she firmly believes that everyone withholds unique God given strengths.
As a Christian individual, Michele proudly, yet humbly maintains a commitment to a personal relationship and daily walk with Jesus Christ. By focusing on the virtues of living for God: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23), and with Christ's strength, she hopes to adorn the gospel, so that people are inspired to seek His strengths in their own lives.
Michele is currently living in Harford County with her husband, Jason and children, Luke and Mia Grace. They are active members at Mountain Christian Church in Joppa, MD.
