Lisa Pearson, M.A., NCC
Lisa Pearson has a passion for seeing clients become whole in Christ Jesus and live the abundant, satisfied life God uniquely created and planned out for each person. She is always amazed at the tenderness and grace God extends to ALL who desperately seek Him no matter what the need or cause.
Lisa offers a compassionate, listening ear to her clients and depends on the Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6) for wisdom and guidance. She understands the need to filter all thoughts and situations through God’s Word and perspective while using clinical counseling skills.
Lisa has a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from George Washington University. She has also taken postgraduate coursework at Regent University. Ms. Pearson is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a member of both the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Her experience includes working as a professional counselor, crisis counselor, and case manager. She counsels adults and adolescents struggling with a variety of concerns including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, stress, anger, grief, and relationship problems. Lisa also has five years of experience counseling survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence (i.e. physical, verbal, emotional and spiritual).
Other interests include church ministry. She worked in the Women’s Ministry at her church for five years serving in various leadership positions. Her deepest desire was to lead women to the heart of God. In this capacity, Lisa had the opportunity to coordinate monthly fellowships, yearly retreats and serve as a workshop speaker. Additionally, she co-facilitated a Bible study for women based on the book “Passion and Purity” by Elisabeth Elliot.
Lisa is excited about working in the Lord’s Vineyard as a counselor at Safe Harbor. Her ministry theme is “a place for Grace.”
