What Clients Can Expect: With a starting point of respect for each individual or couple seeking assistance, it is Kathleen’s goal to create a place where clients can be heard and valued. Combining an intuitive, individualized approach with both faith and current evidence-based interventions results in effective treatment and optimizes growth and healing. Among the approaches used are CBT, mindfulness, DBT skills, Gottman Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Clients are offered psycho-educational resources and instruction, practical skills, and manageable short-term goals.
About: Kathleen holds a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University as well as a Master of Music degree from New Mexico State University and brings to counseling more than 30 years of experience working with adults, children, and adolescents through academic instruction, mentorship, and group facilitation. She has been married for 33 years to her husband, Jim. They have two grown sons.
