Jessica Cordova, M.Ed., C.A.S.E., NCC, LCPC

Jessica Cordova, Counselor, Safe Harbor Christian CounselingJessica Cordova is a Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC). She is a member of the American Counseling Association. Jessica received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Social Sciences, Education, and Economics from Towson University. Jessica also completed her Master's of Education in Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educaiton and Counseling at Loyola College in Maryland.

Jessica has worked in the field of Education for the past 17 years with children of all ages and their families. She had been a teacher for 5 years and Professional School Counselor for the past 12 years. She currently practices in Baltimore County Public Schools and serves as one of the Middle School Counseling Chairs. Jessica has also supervised Master's level interns from Loyola and John's Hopkins.

Jessica feels that Counseling and helping others has been what she was called to do in life. She feels that through her work at Safe Harbor, she can combine her clinical skills with faith to help people.

Jessica also has special experience in the field of Autism. She has three daughters, one with high functioning Autism (Aspergers), one with Pervasive Developmental Delay, and one with Classical Non-speaking Autism. She feels that God has recruited and taught her through her own parenting experiences how to not only see Autism and special needs through another person's eyes, but then to be able to teach others to truly understand it, communicate, and cope with it in the world today. Jessica has been a guest speaker at Towson University and at the BCPS Counselor's Academy discussing Parenting/Teaching and Autism.

Jessica's interests at Safe Harbor include working with children, adolescents, teens, families, and adults. She has interests in working with anxiety, depression, behavior problems, mood disorders, learning disabilities, developmental disabilities (ADHD, Autism, etc.), children of divorce, eating disorders, grief, women's health issues, and relationships.
