About: Hannah Nielsen earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland and her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. During her internship at Fort Bliss Family Life Center and at Family Matters Coaching, she provided individual, group, and marriage counseling. Hannah is passionate about helping couples to build a safe and strong foundation through understanding each other better and developing relationship skills to stay connected. She believes every couple can have a good relationship. It takes time and effort but a great relationship is worth striving for. She also likes working with teenagers and with individuals who struggle with depression and anxiety. She applies Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy in her counseling. She is a certified Prepare & Enrich facilitator and is trained in Gottman Method Couple’s Therapy Level 1. She has been married for 20 years and has two teenagers. She likes walking and spending time with family and the Lord.
