Gail Miller

Counseling and teaching has always been a point of interest for Gail and after marrying and raising a family of her own, in Washington, DC, she felt God drawing her even closer in that direction. At the same time she also felt the need to receive a deeper and clearer understanding of God’s word and his purpose for her.
To this end, she has been going to school and/or working in some type of counseling/teaching endeavor since 1995. Initially, Gail attended a local Bible college, majoring in Christian counseling. She and her family moved from DC to the Dayton, Ohio area because of a career change for her husband. There she attended Central State University and completed her undergraduate degree in psychology. However, shortly after graduation her family moved back East, specifically to Delaware, to care for parents with health challenges. Gail continued her studies and completed her training as a clinical therapist, obtaining a Master’s degree in Psychology/counseling from Chestnut Hill Collegein Philadelphia, PA., with a primary specialization in marriage & family therapy.
Gail firmly believes counseling is one of God’s gifts to her and willingly expresses her passion to help others realize their full potential, reaching a higher level of emotional, mental and spiritual growth in their lives. It is important to Gail that she provide both Biblical and clinical counseling within a strength-based, positive environment that promotes opportunities for effective health and healing for the whole person. Gail also finds it rewarding to not only work with couples and families, but also with individuals. Her counseling practice involves helping people work through a myriad of complex issues such as: depression, anxiety, stress, loneliness, anger, fear, financial concerns, grief, loss of loved ones, relationship issues including those in the workforce, abuse, phobias, anger management and more. For her practicum and shortly after grad school, she worked at local, state and privately funded organizations providing counseling services to “at risk” youth in these same areas.
Attending Bible college for those few semesters only increased Gail’s appetite to develop a deeper understanding of God and a desire to commune with him on a daily basis. She has continued throughout the years to read and study the word of God, attending Christian Bible study in various settings including the churches she attended at the time and she remains active in various ministries locally.
Gail has been blessed with raising or having made contributions in raising several children over the years. Her gifted and talented son is currently raising two wonderful children of his own. In fact all of “her children” are doing well and raising their own families. Her immediate family members, including her grandchildren, know the Lord and actively participate in various areas of ministry within their respective churches.
Gail is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LMPMH) in Delaware. She is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC), she is a certified counselor in good standing with the Board of International Christian Counselors (BCCC), (a division of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and she is also a member of the Delaware Professional Counselors Association (DPCA).
