Leslie Poff, CRNP-PMH
Leslie Poff is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in providing medication management for individuals in a wide variety of settings, from hospitals and prisons to private offices and churches. She holds a MS from University of Maryland, Baltimore where she trained as a Clinical Nurse Leader, and a Post-Master's from Drexel where she received her certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her diagnostic skills and prescriptive privileges enable her to treat a wide variety of psychiatric disorders including but not limited to anxiety, depressive, psychotic, co-occurring and bipolar disorders, ADHD, substance abuse and dependence.
Safe Harbor believes that the holistic perspective and approachability of a nurse practitioner such as Leslie provides their therapists with a strong resource. Our clients who may need psychotropic medication in addition to therapy receive education and safe prescription of such medication. Leslie brings a strong spirituality to her practice, believing that her office is a sacred space where miracles take place on a daily basis. Leslie feels humbled and privileged to meet her clients wherever they may be on their spiritual journeys, and to assist them along the way.
Leslie lives in the Baltimore area with her husband of 25 years and a very large yellow lab. She has three adult children. Much of her spare time is devoted to a non-profit organization which she helped to found: The Tri-harder Triathlon Club of Baltimore, which provides structure, discipline and support to individuals who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction by training them to compete in triathlons.
